about 3 o'clock to half past. I saw Corp. Giles run
past and also someone run to the nullah and look down. I went
to the nullah myself and I saw some 'people' in the water near
the mouth of the tunnel. I reported the matter to Sgt. Church

soldiers with a Chinese. I since have discovered that the other
two were Macarthy and Simmons.
